Wands of acid are wands that, when "z"apped, fire a beam of acid in any of the eight directions.
They can be zapped at the player, also. This will make them take significant damage unless they have intrinsic acid resistance or immunity.
This wand has a range of 16/8/6 for B/U/C respectively. Additional 1 range is added for each 5 character levels.
Desirability[]
Offensive spell wands can be lifesavers in the early game, for any non-spellcaster whose weapons are found to be ineffective against a given foe, and spellcasters facing immunity to their attack spells or lacking them altogether. Wands of acid are especially useful since acid is the most powerful "element" and very few enemies are resistant to it, although some can shrug off the bolts.
