We really make the frontpage more interesting. "What is ADOM" and "What is a roguelike" are surely central questions. Also we should write an Ancient Domains of Mystery article. The wikipedia article might be a good start, but watch out for licensing issues (in other words, say that you used that article). And put a more meaningful list of pages on the front page. --Epythic 16:38, 2 August 2009 (UTC)

I've made a rough start. Tomorrow if I remember I'll be linking to such things as wikipedia's article on roguelikes, and maybe some other important pages within the wiki. Any suggestions on what else needs adding? Ascyron 11:32, 6 August 2009 (UTC)

I'm crossposting this to both wikis; if no one has realized this yet, there appear to be two different ADOM wikis on wikia. The other is at If there's a way to merge wikis, it might be a good idea. JeremyGU (t · c) 19:45, March 23, 2012 (UTC)

Tiles on monster/item pages

Is it planned to add images from tiles? It requires proper scripting to make it without much work and I am not sure about license, but in general idea is worth considering

I've asked on about using tiles on wiki, but without response (it was far from a formal request though). I've also talked about scripting and using bots here User talk:Adomwikibot, but we need community approval to request a bot tag. I've recently experimented a bit with pywikipediabot (Python framework for MediaWikis), and I can do some botting in case we get a tag. Ln (talk) 11:00, August 21, 2013 (UTC)
I finally gave approval on the bot. I wasn't actually sure for a while if the 'community approval' meant us or the Wikia staff... I'm guessing we just need anon123 to reply there as well, since on the wiki adoption thread we seemed to regarded as the 'regular community' =}
Regarding ideas for the bot to do on the templates, I suppose that if Krys does give his approval then adding his tiles for the items and monsters might be a good idea. Not sure *where* on the page they might go, though. It might also be a good idea to add a danger level parameter to Template:NPC based on Anilatx's research (though this appears to be a bit incomplete), as well changing the 'Metal' parameter in the item template to 'Material' and maybe the monster chat messages as you suggested here.
