Staff of the swirling mind is a melee weapon and one of the Magic staves. It grants confusion resistance and reduced Willpower while wielded, and emits a confusion wave when zapped. The confusion wave behaves the same as the analogous mindcraft power.
The staff has typical stats of (-2, 1d10) [+2, +0] {Wi-1}. As with all of the magic staves, it can be generated with prefixes and suffixes.

Staves of the swirling mind are useful for disabling enemies, as there many confusion-susceptible enemies with no Magic resistance. Due to it carrying the risks of mindcraft, it is risky to use around certain monsters. Provided the PC has alternate means to attack monsters, it can also be quite useful for its confusion resistance.
