The staff of Creation is a two-handed artifact weapon added in ADOM v 1.2.0.
Wielding the staff of Creation grants a boost of 16 to Willpower as well as a bonus of 9 to DV, immunity to fire, death ray resistance, and some other resistances.
In its unidentified form, the staff of Creation appears as a quarterstaff; though it can be distinguished from most other staves by its weight of 20s rather than 40s.
Desirability[]
The staff provides very useful bonuses, but does not generally fare well as a weapon. Whilst its damage potential is still quite respectable, there are better one-handed weapons which can be wielded with shields for better offence and defence. Nonetheless, the fire immunity and death ray resistance it provides is of universal benefit; and its Willpower bonus is very useful for mindcrafters and ball spell casters, provided its incompatibility with shields doesn't compromise their defence too much (though its flat DV boost and the benefits from the Staves weapon class might compensate this). It is certainly very situationally useful, all the same.

The quarterstaff is actually a blessed staff of Creation (+4, 4d6+4)

It is an artifact.
When wielded it modifies DV by +9 and PV by +1.
When used in melee combat it grants a +4 bonus to hit and causes 4d6+4
points of damage. When used as a missile it grants a +0 bonus to hit
and causes 1d2 points of damage.
It modifies your willpower attribute by +16.
It grants resistance to cold.
It grants resistance to death attacks.
It grants resistance to shock attacks.
It grants immunity to fire.
It grants resistance to confusion attacks.
