Spectre is a monster in ADOM. It is relatively rarely spawned in the dungeons, but can easily be summoned by lich kings or emperor liches. Spectres will also be present in lesser vaults of undead in areas with sufficient DL. Players should also expect them in greater vaults of undead (generated initially and summoned). Finally, they are guaranteed to appear in CoC Graveyard.
Spectres are able to drain Toughness and Strength on successful melee hits, but otherwise are not especially dangerous given enough protection.
Spectres are vulnerable to undead slaying melee and missile weapons and receive 1.5x damage from blessed items.

Monster memory[]
These undead creatures are connected to the plane of darkness. They resemble their earlier form and can be recognized by people who knew them in life. They are often mistaken for ghosts. They despise the living and their ice-cold grip can sap the strength of even the greatest of warriors.
