Skeletons are undead monsters in ADOM. Many of them appear in vaults of lesser undead, and are summoned by enemy necromancers. Like other undead monsters they can see in darkness, but have no other special powers. Somewhat suprisingly, they possess some intelligence and can sacrifice PCs to their gods; this behaviour was confirmed to be intentional[1].
Skeletons can be healed by giving them bones. Technically, the only use for this fact is for necromancers to heal their own skeleton slaves.

Monster memory[]
The weakest of the undead forms, only the bones of these beings were recalled to do the bidding of a master. They have almost no intelligence and so attack anything that lives, venting their hatred at the interruption of their eternal peace.
