Weight | 20s |
Danger Level | 3 |
Material | Nonmetallic |
The Shirt of the Saints is an artifact in ADOM. In ADOM v 1.1.1 and some earlier versions, the artifact can only be generated by crowning.
When worn, the Shirt confers a number of small bonuses such as a +2 boost to Learning, the see invisible intrinsic, confusion resistance, and enhanced searching capabilities (the effect gained from wearing a ring of searching).
In its unidentified form it appears as a set of clothes, though it is typically distinguishable from regular clothes by its weight of 20s. The PC should be careful not to mistakenly equip a cursed set of light clothes in anticipation of this artifact, though.
Desirability[]
Overall, the Shirt of the Saints is a decent artifact. While it lacks the PV bonus of mid-to-high end armor, its DV bonus is excellent for body armor. The ability to see invisible also comes in particularly handy against certain foes such as the cat lord, and if the searching power is paired with the Detect traps skill, the armor can improve the PC's general survivability by quite a bit.
Guaranteed/Common sources[]
It is a possible crowning gift for Farmers, Healers, Monks and Priests.
As of v. 1.2.0 it can also be granted as a precrowning gift or a reward for making use of a potion of uselessness, generated in a surge of power or greater vault, or generated as random loot (albeit very rarely). It can, very occasionally, be generated in Barnabas' store in Lawenilothehl.
