Scimitars are one of the basic types of one-handed melee weapons in ADOM. They belong to the Swords weapon group, and benefit from and train the corresponding weapon skill.

Desirability[edit source]

Scimitars are almost identical in power to long swords while being marginally more powerful in higher metal varieties (adamantium and eternium).

Guaranteed/Common Sources[edit source]

They can be obtained in the same manner as all generic loot. Some drakish melee-oriented classes can start with an iron scimitar. A pair of eternium scimitars, including one "of mayhem", is part of the reward set for the chaos diplomat's quest.
