Riurry, the greater black unicorn is a unique NPC found in a corrupted glade by himself. The PC must take the quest to kill him for the location to appear (though he won't be generated hostile). When chatted to, Riurry will offer a quest to slay his lawful counterpart, Yrruir. He will reward PCs that complete his quest with a stack of potions of gain attributes (said to be 3d3 of them), an amulet of chaos and some corruption (about 1-2 effects).
Riurry is not as powerful or evasive as his white counterpart, but is tougher. He usually is not too difficult to defeat by the time the PC has reached level 30 (in order to get the quest to kill Riurry in the first place).
Special abilities[]
- Immune to death rays
- Very often shrugs off bolts and other resistible magic
- Regeneration 6
- Teleporting
Common stats[]
Level: 1, DV: 60, PV: 18, Hits: 670, Attacks: 1, Damage: 20-60, Speed: 100.
Corpse effects[]
Black unicorn flesh corrupts, and greater black unicorn flesh corrupts greater. Eating Riurry is said to "grant" about 5 corruptions at once. As with black unicorns, if Riurry drops a corpse it should be taken to Guth'Alak by any non-chaotic PC for a potion of cure corruption.
Monster memory[]
There is a something subtly eye-twisting about this mighty one-horned beast. An unsettling aura surrounds it, making things near it seem misshapen and distorted. You get the impression that there is something hideous writhing underneath its black coat, trying to get out.
