The ring of the archmages is a non-guaranteed artifact. It provides bonuses to DV and PV, a host of useful intrinsics, and increases the amount of PP regenerated per tick by 1. It appears as an iridiscent ring [sic] when unidentified.

It is one of the best rings in the game, granting a huge defensive boost. It effectively doubles the rate of PP regeneration in the absence of other item bonuses (which do stack with the ring's bonus).
