Rings of cold resistance grant intrinsic resistance to cold while being worn.
Rings of cold resistance can either be marble rings (and have gray color when observed on the floor) or jade rings (and have light green color when observed on the floor) in their unidentified form.
Desirability[]
Rings of cold resistance are relatively useful in the early game against an occasional ogre magus or a white baby dragon. Later on they can typically be replaced with the ancient mummy wrapping (which, however, takes some turns to be equipped) or elemental gauntlets (to get these the PC will have to face Nonnak who has a respectable cold-based attack), both guaranteed artifacts.
