This flying lizard is about six feet long from head to toe. Its wingspan is about 30 feet. Its body and wings are covered with a leathery skin sheet. The wings are stretched up the sides of the reptile's body, from the top of its leg to the very long fourth finger on its hand. The most distinct feature is found on its head: It has a toothless beak and a bony crest on top of its head.
