Provides several bonuses for digging dungeon walls with a pick axe.
Manual info[edit source]
This skill determines your ability in digging tunnels. You'll need to use a pick axe to do that. The higher the skill is, the less time you need to dig a tunnel section.
As per manual, Mining skill affects the number of turns necessary to break down a section of a wall. Normally, such an action takes 1d3+5 turns (as observed during in-game testing); every twenty points of skill level reduce this number by 1 (capped at 1d3 at skill level 100).
Advanced uses[edit source]
Additional bonuses provided by Mining skill are not mentioned in the manual but are normally much more valuable for extensive digging than turn-efficiency.
Firstly, Mining skill reduces the chance of a pick axe breaking, with increased efficiency at level 80+ and even more at level 100+ (due to extra checks). Unfortunately, training the skill to these levels requires actual application and the usual costs of repairing pick axes.
Secondly, Mining skill increases the chance of ore generation, capping at approximately 50% extra ore at skill level 100.
