Metal boots are basic boots in ADOM that provide bonus to PV (and possibly a penalty to DV), while not having any special properties.


Desirability[edit source]

They are useful for their PV bonus. Non-iron boots are resistant to fire and thus can be taken into Tower of Eternal Flames without extra protection.

Iron boots add their PV to kick to-hit, and their PV+1 to kick damage.

Since 1 point of PV can be very valuable in the early game, iron boots can be rather valuable. Later on due to weight and potential destruction they should be replaced by better footwear.

Non-iron boots can also be used in item polymorphing in the hope of generating seven league boots.
