Magebane eye is a type of monster in ADOM. As the name implies, magebane eyes are pests to spellcasters as they drain the PC's PP whilst within a certain distance of them (which can be quite far). They drain PP even if they are not hostile to the PC, or cannot even see him/her. High Willpower scores reduce the PC's chance to be affected by PP drain; at 30+ Willpower, PCs cannot be drained by magebane eyes. Their melee attack can confuse the PC upon damaging hits. Like other eyes they can resist mindcraft and shrug magical bolts.

Monster memory[]
A member of the floating eye family that feeds by leeching power from those that use magic. It needs only to be within a certain range of a living vessel of magic power to begin draining power from that being. They are smaller than normal floating eyes, perhaps aiding in avoiding detection by those they are feeding upon. Their magical diet also offers them some resistance to magic used against them.
