Lump of clay is a type of tool that was added in ADOM version 1.2.0. Their main purpose is to be turned into unlife slaves by the application of white necromancy.
They can also be thrown at enemies similarly to rocks — dealing similar damage and even benefiting from and training the Thrown Rocks and Clubs skill. They seem to be exceptionally sturdy as missiles — with about a 1% chance of being shattered when thrown.
Desirability[]
Mist Elves wanting to make use of their special necromancy will want as many of these as they can find. They can make decent missiles for PCs accustomed to throwing rocks, though piles of rocks are not too hard to find anyway.
