Luck is a hidden property that manifests itself in a huge variety of ways over the course of the game. Its exact effects are difficult to determine even using code-diving, simply because it permeates so many aspects of gameplay. Generally speaking, PCs with good luck are more likely to experience beneficial effects and avoid disaster, while the opposite is true of PCs with bad luck. Good luck does not guarantee that the PC will not experience periodic misfortunes, but it certainly helps.
