Kranach, the raider lord is found wandering in the wilderness until the PC reaches level 6 (or around 5000 experience earned). The message "You encounter a group of roving raiders" specifically designates this encounter. Kranach is able to shoot arrows from great distances and his missile attacks can deal considerable amounts of damage. Killing him will complete the Kill Kranach quest.

He is one of an exclusive few unique NPCs who can be wished for. His wished for "copies" can be killed to successfully complete Tywat Pare's quest if the player missed the opportunity to do it in the early game (it is, however, necessary to completely avoid chatting to Tywat Pare till the time a raider lord is in the PC's kill list).

Corpse effects[]

No effects beside satiation; though the PC may be interested in turning in his corpse to Tywat Pare for 300 gold (as well as actual quest completion notice in the ending summary) rather than eating it. Additionally, if the PC turns in the corpse then Munxip will hang the raider lord's mummified head in his shop.

As of version 1.2.0 raider lord's corpse is guaranteed to be generated[1].

Monster memory[]

The raider lord can be easily recognized by his purple cloak and haughty behavior. He commands a band of corrupted raiders who terrorize the peaceful villages of Ancardia. Although he likes to pose as a daring fighter, he's really a bit of a coward. He only attacks people smaller and less experienced than him. If you fight back, he usually hides behind the broad backs of his companions and tends to panic.
