Killer bugs are found in large abundance in the Bug Temple, and are very rarely found in other places with high DL.
Killer bugs are extremely fast, are breeders, and dole out a massive number of powerful penetrating attacks per turn with incredible accuracy. A DV score of 100 is often not enough to save the PC from all of their attacks. They are thus easily capable of dealing at least 100 damage to a PC in a single turn; being surrounded by multiple killer bugs can easily prove to be fatal even to very well armored PCs in the late game.
Taking on killer bugs in melee is usually not recommended. Magic and missiles are the way to go when fighting these; though since they are much tougher than greater claw bugs, PCs will have to make sure they can survive a second or third round against them even when armed with powerful magic. Being able to clear the Bug Temple of these beasts is definitely an extreme test of the PC's survivability, quick thinking and reflexes.

Monster memory[]
A deadly giant insect of utter blackness that attacks with unbelievable speed, making full use of its razor-sharp hooked and barbed claws. They are lightning-fast and almost unerring in their devastating attacks, but possess little intelligence or judgement. Known in some areas as "quickling moloch beetles."
