Leather girdles/metal girdles are the basic types of girdles in ADOM. Metal girdles offer moderate bonuses to PV.


Desirability[edit source]

Leather girdles are essentially useless. Equipping iron-based girdles (which remain as 'metal girdles' when worn/identified) can be harmful if the PC does not have decent body armor, as getting stuck with a cursed girdle also means being stuck with current body armor.
In the mid/late game, players often choose girdles of carrying or girdles of giant strength, since the alternative cost is just few points of PV.
