|Sees in the dark?||Yes|
Ghuls are semi-sentient undead monsters in ADOM. Many of them appear in the Dwarven Graveyard and in vaults of lesser undead, and are summoned by enemy necromancers. They attack multiple times per turn and can paralyze opponents on successful hits, making them particularly dangerous to early-game PCs when accompanied by other monsters. Their paralyzing abilities can come in handy for PC necromancers, who can raise them as slaves once they reach level 6.

Corpse effects[edit source]
Eating a ghul paralyzes (unless the PC has resistance).
These undead creatures resent their return from the dead and seek to slay all living things they encounter, tempting death to reclaim them while embracing their victims. They feed on the life force and flesh of the living to slow the decaying of their own body's sallow rotting flesh.
