Garth, the dwarven weaponmaster is a unique NPC found in Dwarftown. When chatted with, he allows PCs to train any attribute other than Appearance and Mana in exchange for gold.

The more gold the PC spends on an attribute, the more likely an increase in that attribute becomes, although a significant amount of in-game time may pass (typically hours to days) before any increase occurs. Garth will accept any amount of gold, but provides no indication of whether the PC paid enough for an increase.

If the PC spends more gold than is necessary to achieve an increase, only a fraction of the excess training is carried over after the first increase. It can be more efficient to aim for one increase per attribute trained, and then return to Garth for any further training later.

Attributes cannot be trained past their current potentials, though Garth will happily accept gold for such attributes regardless.
