Boxes with flint and steel are one of the two items required for lighting torches, the other being a Tinderbox. When created, they have between one and fifty charges, with one charge being used every time you light a torch.
Torches are lit by equipping them in the tool or weapon slot, and "U"sing them.

A complete torch set is very valuable for players to deal with darkness, magical in nature or not.
