The Iron Crown of Havlor is a non-guaranteed artifact. It grants +12 DV and PV when worn, along with +4 Learning.
In its unidentified form, it is indistinguishable from regular iron crowns. Besides wearing it, the only ways of identifying it from regular iron crowns are by magical identification means, appraising, or attempting to sell it (artifacts often have unusually high selling prices).
Despite its name, the Iron Crown is actually made of eternium.
Desirability[]
The Crown has the best defensive stats of any helmet. The only downsides of wearing the Crown are its considerable to-hit penalties for melee and missiles, though they are certainly worth the exchange.

It is a possible crowning gift for Elementalists, Merchants, and Mindcrafters. It can also be granted as a precrowning gift or a reward for making use of a potion of uselessness; generated in a surge of power or greater vault; or generated as random loot (albeit very rarely).
