Fencing gloves of fidelity are a type of gauntlets in ADOM. They first appeared in ADOM v. 1.2.0. They have base stats of [+3, +1], though these do vary from time to time. They also increase the Charisma stat whilst worn, by a typical modifier of +6.
Like a few other types of gauntlets, in their unidentified form they are indistinguishable from regular gloves.
Desirability[]
Fencing gloves of fidelity provide better defensive bonuses than most other non-artifact gauntlets — apart from fencing gloves of speed and the considerably annoying gauntlets of peace) — and are quite desirable overall since they provide these bonuses with very little weight. The charisma bonus is also nice, but usually not too important to most PCs unless they are relying on pets a lot. The main downside of fencing gloves is the fact that they are made of leather — which makes them more susceptible to damage than iron-based gauntlets, as well as not being able to be improved by smithing.
