Dark elven wizard is a type of monster in ADOM. They are most notable for their ability to summon hordes of spiders, which can be a significant problem for early game PCs lacking decent armor and/or poison resistance, and a nuisance for all other PCs. They can also attack from a distance with energy blasts, like dark sages. Like most dark elves they ignore webs.

Monster memory

Those among the dark elven race who do not have physical strength must either display talents in magic or die young. In the harsh competition of the underground realms, only those elves with great powers survive to become wizards. The black eyes seem to glow with dark power, obscuring elvish features behind a dark haze.
