Cloaks of protection are one of the basic type of cloak in ADOM. They have base stats of [+0, +3] (up to [+0, +6], may be more), those these do vary from time to time.
It appears as cheap cloak, multi-colored cloak, or warm cloak when unidentified, with the most common appearance being cheap cloak.
Desirability[]
They are very useful in the early game. For as long as they are not destroyed by traps, they will provide a large amount of additional protection to body armor and other equipment slots.

They can be obtained in the same manner as all generic loot.
