The chain mail of the martyred crusader is a non-guaranteed artifact. It prevents or reduces background corruption. It also increases the amount of PP regenerated per tick by 1, greatly increases Willpower, and provides many intrinsics. It appears as a chain mail when unidentified, but can be distinguished from normal chain mail by its unusual weight.
Desirability[]
It is an incredibly good item, especially for spellcasters. It effectively doubles the rate of PP regeneration in the absence of other item or class bonuses (which do stack with the chain mail's bonus). Although it does not have a massive amount of PV, it has more than enough other bonuses to make up for it.
Guaranteed/Common sources[]
It can be granted as a precrowning gift or a reward for making use of a potion of uselessness, generated in a surge of power or greater vault, or generated as random loot (albeit very rarely).
