|Amulet of resurrection ( ' )|
If the date requirement is met, a blessed amulet of resurrection is generated at the top left corner of Barnabas' shop, where it can be bought for 90169gp. The price is fixed, and unlike all other items in the game is not affected by the race of the PC or the shopkeeper. The amulet can be sold for a fixed price of 90168gp, assuming the shopkeeper has enough money to pay.
The amulet of resurrection works like an amulet of life saving, resurrecting the PC if his/her HP drops to 0 or below. Unlike amulets of life saving, the amulet of resurrection always restores the PC to full HP and never drains Toughness, regardless of its status. The amulet of resurrection also increases all of PC's attributes when activated, but only if it is August 30th at the moment of resurrection. The magnitude of this effect depends on the B/U/C status of the amulet; blessed increases all attributes by +3, uncursed by +2, and cursed by +1.
The amulet can be used to save Khelavaster. If this is done, he will give you some of the energy he gained from the amulet (+2 to all attributes and +40 max PP if blessed, +1 to attributes and +30 max PP if uncursed, and +20 max PP if cursed) in addition to the normal rewards.
Very desirable. The amulet of resurrection is essentially an indestructible amulet of life saving, with the added benefit of attribute gains if activated on August 30th. The attribute gains alone are equivalent to drinking three blessed potions of gain attributes if the amulet is blessed.
Unlike amulets of life saving—which are iron—the amulet of resurrection is made of eternium, which allows even mist elves to wear it without taking damage.
Guaranteed/Common sources[edit source]
Only available if Lawenilothehl was generated on August 30th—it does not matter when the character was created. On that day, the amulet can be bought (or stolen) from Barnabas' shop in Lawenilothehl for 90169gp.
