Development of ADOM started on 12 July 1994 and continued steadily until 20 November 2002 [release date of the 1.1.1 version].Some ports to Mac OS appeared in 2006. Unnoficial ToGu patch fixing some bugs appeared in 2004. Development seemed to focus on a next-generation successor to ADOM, called JADE (also ADOMII, not to be confused with Adom 2.x.x).
