Colored leather gauntlets are gauntlets in ADOM. They have base stats of [+0, +1], which vary from time to time. While unidentified, they appear as "*color* gauntlets" — exactly the same as dragon-hide gauntlets of the same color — and they retain their unidentified form when equipped. They can still be distinguished by wearing them, since dragon-hide gauntlets typically have to-hit penalties which can be observed by (for example) pressing '@'.

Since dragon gauntlets are made from iron, mist elves should not equip any *color* gauntlets unless they are generated in very low DL areas.

Desirability[]

Early on, they can provide very desirable point(s) of PV; later on, they should be replaced by better gear.
